The Chicago Board of Elections is preparing for the March 2026 Primary Election and is hiring Warehouse Support Staff to help prepare all voting equipment for shipment to polling locations. This work is essential to ensuring Election Day runs smoothly with zero issues for voters. 📍 Location1819 W. Pershing Road, Chicago, IL🕗 Hours8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday Hours may shift during peak election preparation.💵 Pay$18/hr📅 Start DateMid-January 2026 (Exact date TBD)⏳ DurationGuaranteed through the March 17th, 2026 which is the primary. Candidates must work on election day (March 16th)High-performing workers may be extended through the November 2026 General ElectionWhat You’ll Be DoingThis is a warehouse-based role focused on prepping and quality-checking election equipment. You will help ensure every polling place receives complete, functional, and verified machines and supplies. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare voting machines and carts for shipment to polling sitesConduct basic interviews with election judges regarding equipment logisticsReceive, unload, and sort incoming election materials, ensuring accuracyHandle inventory including cords, SD cards, USBs, machines, power cables, instructions, and other components — every item must be accounted forPackage, label, and stage equipment for distribution across ChicagoMaintain and organize all warehouse equipment to keep operations flowingUse a variety of tools to ensure equipment readiness, such as:USB testing devicesQuality assurance toolsSystem checks to ensure machines power on and function correctlyYour work ensures that when voters arrive at the polls, every machine is ready, tested, and fully functional, preventing delays or disruptions on Election Day.
