📢 We're Hiring: Director of Accounting | Citrus Heights, CA We’re excited to announce a newly created Director of Accounting position to support a growing construction firm. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the organization—from leading the month-end close process to improving accounting systems, procedures, and controls. If you’re someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, brings both strategic vision and hands-on experience, and is excited by the opportunity to help shape a high-performing accounting function, we’d love to connect. 🔍 What You'll Be Doing: • Oversee all aspects of the accounting process, from journal entries to monthly financial statements • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for CFO and executive leadership • Own the month-end close process, including reconciliations and payroll journal entries • Ensure GAAP compliance and partner with auditors for the annual audit • Assess and enhance accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting processes • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve information flow across departments • Support acquisition integration and identify opportunities to implement new technologies • Lead and mentor a small accounting team, with room for growth 👤 Who We're Looking For: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required) • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting • Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff • Construction industry experience and % completion accounting a plus • Strong Excel skills required; QuickBooks experience is a bonus • A proactive, detail-oriented professional who leads by example and enjoys building efficient, scalable processes 🧠 Personal Attributes: • Organized and deadline-driven • Able to multitask and adapt quickly • Curious, analytical, and self-motivated • Strong communicator with a collaborative spirit • Positive, energetic, and team-oriented If you're looking for a role where you can grow with the company, influence change, and be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team—we want to hear from you!
