Full Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Data/Information Architect to lead a strategic data migration initiative within a dynamic environment. This long-term contract position is based in Castle Rock, Colorado, and offers the opportunity to shape and execute a comprehensive migration strategy while ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in data architecture and migration processes, as well as deep knowledge of the Quickbase platform. Responsibilities: Analyze and document the existing data model, including relationships, dependencies, and data volumes, to understand the current system architecture. Develop a detailed migration strategy and roadmap to transition data from Quickbase 1.0 to Quickbase 2.0. Design and implement data mapping solutions, ensuring alignment between legacy data and the new schema. Create and execute transformation rules and scripts to maintain data accuracy during the migration process. Identify and address data quality issues, ensuring a seamless and consistent transition. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, stakeholders, and Quickbase administrators, to align project goals and deliverables. Build and test ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data while maintaining data security and compliance. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members with less experience, fostering technical growth and collaboration. Validate migrated data through reconciliation processes and support user acceptance testing to ensure system reliability. Document migration processes thoroughly and provide training and guidance to end-users post-implementation. Requirements Minimum of five years of experience leading complex data migration projects, with a focus on Quickbase or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of data modeling, relational databases, and architectural principles. Proficiency in ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, Apache NiFi, or custom Python scripts. Hands-on experience with data transformation scripting and system integrations. Familiarity with the Quickbase platform, including schema design, automation, and app development. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and present progress updates to leadership. Understanding of data governance, security policies, and compliance standards.
