We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team on a contract basis in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting accounting operations and assisting with a major system implementation. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial reporting, reconciliation, and Oracle-based systems, along with a background in higher education.Responsibilities:• Support the implementation and migration activities of Oracle Cloud systems.• Perform general accounting duties, including month-end close processes and journal entries.• Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accuracy in account reconciliations.• Assist with financial reporting, audits, and validation of data during system transitions.• Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth go-live and stabilization phases.• Prepare month-end reports and maintain accurate general ledger records.• Analyze financial data to support decision-making and compliance requirements.• Ensure adherence to industry standards and organizational policies in all financial processes.
