Overview of the Role Reporting to the Global Sales Director based in Detroit, Michigan, the US Government Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and profitability of Global Fleet Sales (GFS) / RMA products across the United States and Canada. The role has full accountability for the efficient operation and continuous improvement of the regional sales function, ensuring customer requirements and commercial objectives are met while increasing revenue and margins. The position may include direct leadership responsibility in the near future. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement the government sales strategy for all GFS products and services in North America Own and manage the end-to-end customer lifecycle, including customer relationship management processes Provide regular market intelligence and reporting to management, including competitive analysis, partnership opportunities, and support requirements for new business Coordinate closely with Regional Sales, Sales Administration, Regional Modification Centers, and RMA Centers of Excellence (Finance, Purchasing, and Logistics) across the USA, Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific Drive use of long-term sales agreements with key customers, including US Government entities (TACOM, GSA), United Nations, and other strategic accounts Identify collaborators partners for capturing US Government business Collaborate with Ford Government Affairs to support exports to international markets Maximize margins while sustaining target sales volumes Maintain accurate prospect and customer records within Salesforce CRM Achieve agreed sales targets across both revenue and margin Background and Experience Demonstrated success in developing new business opportunities with US federal government No specific formal education or certification required Multilingual capability preferred, with proficiency in English required Several years of experience in automotive fleet sales or proven sales experience in equipment or services, ideally across international or multi-market environments Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Proven experience working remotely and leading geographically dispersed sales teams Solid financial acumen, including understanding of pricing models, margins, and revenue forecasting Strong business development mindset with the ability to identify new and incremental sales opportunities Technical understanding of vehicles and vehicle modification solutions Additional Information This role is based in-office in Southfield, Michigan or Washington, DC, and requires extensive travel throughout the United States and Canada. International travel is also expected, including annual trips to RMA Group headquarters in Thailand and other global destinations as required. The position is a permanent, open-ended role and has been approved as a new post within the organization.
