Job Title: Manager, HR Operations Reports to: HRBP Position Supervision: None (Individual Contributor) Status: Full-Time, Exempt/Salaried Role (Remote) Revised: February 2026 Summary: The Manager, HR Operations plays a key role in the efficient and effective delivery of HR services, with a focus on managing leave of absence (LOA), ADA accommodations, performance management, and employee relations. This role is responsible for overseeing processes such as Progressive Discipline, PAF (Personnel Action Form) management, payroll data reporting, onboarding (backup), and offboarding (future ownership). The HR Operations Manager ensures these processes are handled with accuracy, confidentiality, and a focus on delivering an excellent employee experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned as business needs evolve.) Risk Management (Approx. 80%) • Leave of Absence and ADA Management: • Serve as the primary point of contact for leave of absence requests and ADA accommodations. • Guide employees and managers through the process, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies. • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to leave and accommodation requests. • Performance Management and Progressive Discipline: • Coach managers on effective performance management practices, including setting expectations, delivering feedback, and addressing performance concerns. • Support minor employee relations investigations, documenting findings and providing recommendations for resolution. • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to progressive discipline policies. • PAF Management and Data Review: • Oversee the Personnel Action Form (PAF) process to ensure accuracy and timely submission. • Conduct regular reviews of employee data in the HRIS to identify and correct discrepancies. • Payroll Data Reporting: • Compile, analyze, and report payroll-related data in partnership with the payroll team. • Provide insights and recommendations based on data trends. • Onboarding and Offboarding Processes: • Act as a backup for onboarding processes to ensure new hires have a seamless and positive experience. • Take ownership of the offboarding process, ensuring departing employees experience a smooth transition and proper documentation is completed. • Front-Line Client Services: • Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses. • Educate employees and managers on self-service tools and resources for common HR needs. • Use HR ticketing platforms to track and resolve employee requests while improving the client experience. • Policy Guidance and Compliance: • Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices. • Partner with the HRBP to communicate and implement policy changes when needed. • Process Improvement: • Continuously evaluate and improve HR processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and employee satisfaction. • Leverage technology and automation to reduce manual tasks and improve workflows. Preferred Qualifications: Experience: • 5+ years of HR experience, with a focus on leave management, employee relations, and data reporting. • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred for this role. • Strong knowledge of employment law, ADA, and HR best practices. • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBi). Skills: • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Experience influencing and coaching managers to address performance and employee relations matters.
