Description Riverside Family Physicians is looking for a team player who is friendly, compassionate, organized, well-groomed, takes initiative, enjoys staying busy, and has a solid work history. We are looking for a team player with a great attitude, who can work under pressure in a busy environment. Must be extremely professional and comfortable with technology/software. This position requires the ability to communicate well with patients practicing the appropriate level of confidence and empathy. It also requires considerable attention to detail, ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under stress. The ability to communicate well with patients, physicians, fellow staff members, and supervisor is critical. Must be willing to help in all areas and understand the need for efficient use of time. · Thrives in a fast-paced work environment · Possesses exceptional customer service and communication skills · Demonstrates a positive and cheerful attitude with patients and staff · Is self-motivated and reliable · Ability to work in and support a team environment · Knowledgeable about medical procedures, laboratory services, equipment handling, and compliance standards · Knowledgeable about Preventative Care Services · Maintaining a clean and organized work environment · Greeting patients in a warm, friendly manner · Answering and returning telephone calls and messages · Scheduling and confirming appointments · Checking patients in and out including insurance verification and co-pays/co-insurance · Managing referrals, authorizations, and medical records · Maintain quality of medical care standards as defined by the practice · Checking patients in/out of examination rooms · Patient care and vital signs · Collecting and documenting patient information · Care coordination including reporting significant findings and pertinent patient observations to physician or mid-level clinician · Immunizations and injections · Performs other Medical Assistant duties as assigned Requirements · Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent · Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred · Two or more years of experience in a Family Medicine · High School Graduate and/or Associates Degree in Science of Arts preferred · Proficient in Electronic Medical/Health Record system · Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills · Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred This is a full time position. Practice hours are Monday – Thursday, 8-8, Friday, 8-5, and Saturday 8-5. Must be available to work weekends and closing shifts. Must be open to working Sundays in future— not at present time .
