Position: Mechanical Insulation Project Manager Hours: Full-Time Summary: Rival Insulation is a full-service mechanical insulation contractor headquartered in Troy, Michigan. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mechanical Insulation Project Manager to lead and oversee complex insulation projects within the mechanical and construction industries. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage all phases of insulation projects, from planning and estimating to execution and completion. Essential Functions: The Mechanical Insulation Project Manager essential job functions include but are not limited to: · Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of HVAC and mechanical insulation projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget · Coordinate project activities across multiple teams, including field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers. · Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to insulation systems · Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and progress reports · Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications · Utilize construction management software for project scheduling, tracking progress, resource allocation, and reporting · Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates, and resolve issues promptly · Oversee procurement of materials such as insulation products, ensuring timely delivery to meet project timelines · Maintain comprehensive records of project activities, costs, schedules, and safety compliance · Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations · Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment · Assist Rival's office team with day-to-day operations and paperwork Minimum Qualifications: · Proven experience in construction project management with a focus on HVAC or mechanical insulation projects · Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes · Proficiency in project scheduling · Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and understanding technical drawings related to HVAC and Mechanical systems · Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore or Bluebeam for documentation and communication · Experience with contracts administration and change order management · Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively · Solid understanding of construction site safety protocols and quality assurance practices · Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders while maintaining clear communication channels · Technical knowledge of insulation materials (e.g., fiberglass, foam) as well as HVAC system components is preferred · Strong problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to project challenges · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Able to work independently while maintaining deadlines and accuracy · Self-motivated, organized, and professional · College degree in Construction Management or Engineering (preferred), or 5+ years practical industry experience Work Environment: · Field and Office environment with dynamic multitasking requirements.
