Overview As a Senior Manager, Sales Development, you are responsible for leading and scaling a high-performing team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). Your team is responsible for driving top-of-funnel pipeline growth through outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification, and strategic account engagement. You work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Operations to optimize processes, improve conversion rates, and ensure SDRs are aligned with company goals. You are both a coach and a practitioner who can demonstrate what great prospecting looks like. Responsibilities Team Leadership & Coaching Hire, onboard, and mentor SDRs to exceed performance targets Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement Model prospecting excellence by demonstrating effective outbound and inbound practices, from building sequences to running live calls Coach in real time through active participation in calls, messaging reviews, and feedback sessions Develop and manage career pathing programs so SDRs can successfully transition into roles such as Account Executive, Client Success, and other GTM positions Conduct regular 1:1s, team meetings, and performance reviews Pipeline Generation Own SDR pipeline targets and ensure consistent delivery of qualified opportunities to the sales team Oversee inbound lead qualification, ensuring speed-to-lead, SLA adherence, and effective handoff to AEs Develop and refine outbound prospecting strategies for target accounts, leveraging multi-channel outreach and event-based engagement Collaborate with Marketing to align campaigns with outbound efforts Process Optimization Partner with Revenue Operations to improve lead routing, CRM hygiene, and reporting Analyze SDR metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement Drive adoption of tools and technologies that enhance SDR productivity, including new AI capabilities Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with Sales Leadership to ensure alignment on ICP, messaging, and handoff processes Provide feedback to Product and Marketing based on market conversations and prospect insights Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 8+ years of work experience with 4+ in B2B SaaS sales or sales development 2+ years in a leadership role Proven track record of building and scaling SDR teams in a high-growth environment Strong understanding of sales development metrics, funnel management, and pipeline forecasting Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills Ability to work in EST or CST Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field preferred. Experience with Salesforce, Outreach/Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other sales tech stack tools. Experience working in a global sales organization, with demonstrated track record of successful x-functional collaboration across regions.
