We are seeking a dynamic and experienced actuarial professional to assist with the continued development of our actuarial team and enhance RSC’s support for our client’s healthcare initiatives and innovations. The ideal candidate will offer an extensive understanding of the healthcare landscape, including medical, pharmacy, stop loss, contracting and payor operations. This role demands a motivated self-starter with proven leadership skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will excel in a matrixed environment, demonstrate creative actuarial and analytical capabilities, exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, and possess a proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving. This role will be critical to delivering the RSC value proposition for our clients through innovation, technical expertise and highly effective and efficient execution which will directly impact the clients’ financial strategies and decisions. Your Impact Managing a diverse range of actuarial projects, Serve as actuarial and strategic advisor to healthcare clients, owning overall client satisfaction and engagement success. Direct technical actuarial work on projects and assist in the development of less experienced actuaries. Assist in building the practice infrastructure by supporting internal initiatives that enhance the foundational ways of working. Partnering with leadership to build scalable and dynamic financial models and work processes. Assist in building and maintaining strong client relationships. Develop and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships with other RSC teams to assure accurate, timely teamwork and project execution with assigned teams. Successful Candidate Will Have Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field FSA/ASA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or Associate of the Society of Actuaries) designation required. 15+ years of healthcare actuarial experience. Experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: Strong knowledge of commercial, and/or medical stop loss markets Experience working with alternative risk vehicles such as captives and MEWAs Commercial first dollar and stop loss reserving, pricing, underwriting and financial modeling expertise Risk modeling and risk mitigation strategy experience for healthcare programs. Assessment of care management and delivery effectiveness through predictive modeling, ROI analyses and other advanced modeling techniques Traditional Health & Welfare actuarial and underwriting experience Project / client / financial management experience Understanding of healthcare databases and data sources (claims, encounters, labs, EMR etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access. Experience with SQL, R (R, RStudio). Pay Range: $199,400 - $300,000 Annual The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for this role.
