As a Select Account Specialist, you will manage your own book of business while building relationships with clients and collaborating with the Select Team. You will provide tailored insurance solutions and mentor Assistant Account Specialists to enhance service excellence.
Successful candidates will have 3-5 years of personal lines client management experience and a valid P&C brokers’ license. Proficiency in insurance agency management systems and extensive knowledge of personal lines underwriting is preferred.
As a Select Account Specialist, you will be a trusted advisor and relationship builder for our valued personal lines clients, delivering proactive guidance, exceptional service, and tailored insurance solutions. You will collaborate closely with our dynamic Select Team and Producers across multiple RSC offices to ensure every client receives an elevated experience. In addition to managing your own book of business, you will have the opportunity to mentor and inspire Assistant Account Specialists, helping shape the next generation of service excellence within our team. Your Impact: Building and maintaining constructive and effective relationships with internal and external clients by meeting and exceeding expectations Leveraging personal insurance knowledge and expertise to actively service existing accounts and develop new business opportunities for a high volume, fast-paced book of business, consisting of standard personal lines clients Fostering an environment of personal accountability by managing appropriate system records of service, marketing, and policy communications with clients and carriers in AMS/EPIC accordingly Participating in the retention of renewal business Interacting with Producers and Office Leaders to make coverage recommendations and engage in account rounding activities Ensuring the client has continuous and proper coverage and advising the client of any recommendations within a mutually established timeline Reviewing current policies and providing recommendations regarding carrier placement options Utilizing department workflows and a network of industry contacts to determine appropriate coverage Executing coverage analysis as needed as well as providing the client with accurate quotation for any additional coverages All other duties as assigned by the department manager of regional PL Select leader Successful Candidates Will Have: 3 - 5 years’ Personal Lines client management experience Valid P&C brokers’ license Industry specific designations preferred- CISR, CIC or similar Proficient in insurance agency management systems: AMS 360, WorkSmart and EPIC preferred Extensive knowledge of Personal Lines underwriting, coverage and procedures Ability to clearly articulate these products/coverages to clients and underwriters Understanding of marketplace trends and best practices to best meet clients’ needs Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office Suite Flexible and able to work effectively under pressure; handling multiple tasks with interruptions and changing priorities Risk Strategies is the 9th largest privately held U.S. brokerage firm offering comprehensive risk management advice, insurance and reinsurance placement for property & casualty, employee benefits, private client services, as well as consulting services and financial & wealth solutions.
