The Marketing Project Management team drives operational excellence through rigorous project oversight, collaboration across teams, and optimization of marketing workflows. This team leads the execution of complex marketing campaigns that support our University Partner and company goals, brand integrity, and business performance. Job Summary The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading high-impact marketing and creative projects on behalf of our University Partners with a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration, strategic execution, and process improvement. This role requires advanced project management capabilities, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to optimize workflows in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Project Manager supports organizational priorities by managing complex initiatives across channels, leading process innovations and SOP development, and managing the performance and career development of junior team members. Key Duties and Responsibilities • Leads the planning, scoping, execution, and delivery of multiple large-sized projects simultaneously such as website builds, new partner and program launches, and CMS migrations, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope • Leads group of project managers within the marketing department; Oversee group’s projects to ensure on-time, on-budget, and establish overall project status timeline • Collaborates with Sr. Manager/Director/VP/ELT-level stakeholders across multiple business functions to align priorities and goals; identify dependencies; triage risks and issues; and facilitate expedient trade-off discussions • Monitors and reports on resource capacity of marketing teams, and utilizes creative problem solving to unblock teams and optimize efficiency; flags project prioritization concerns to internal stakeholders as needed • Leads project retrospectives and synthesizes key learnings for ongoing process improvement • Develops project documentation including roadmaps, workflows, status reports, and dashboards • Evolves project management systems to improve operations visibility, reporting, and capacity planning • Creates onboarding plans and oversees the training and development of new project management hires; trains internal stakeholders on marketing project management processes and tools • Leads organizational and departmental process optimization and documentation efforts; Evangelizes improvements through organization • Leads team knowledge sharing and strategic planning; develops and maintains project management team SOPs • Champions adoption and improvement of project management and other creative optimization tools Additional Position Responsibilities • Perform in accordance with Risepoint Policies • Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Project Management, Communications, or related field Marketing, Business, Project Management, Communications, or related field 7+ years of advanced experience in project or program management 5+ years of experience working in Higher Education, Creative Agency, and/or Online Program Management (OPM) company 3+ years of significant experience managing website and digital marketing projects.
