We are proud of our team and are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Teller Supervisor to serve our community in San Juan, Texas. The ideal candidate leads by example, has a strong understanding of banking operations and procedures, and has excellent customer service skills. Summary As the Teller Supervisor you would be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the teller line, including balancing drawers, ordering cash, and scheduling staff. You would also be responsible for training and developing tellers, and ensuring that all customer interactions are positive and efficient. Work Schedule This is a full-time position, generally scheduled to work 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. (hours vary) Saturdays, 8:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. (on rotation) Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Oversee the daily operations of the teller line including balancing drawers, ordering cash, and scheduling staff. • Train and develop tellers. • Lead by example and ensure all customer interactions are positive and efficient. • Maintain a cash drawer and process transactions. • Complete daily and monthly reports. • Assist with opening and closing the bank. • Collaborate with Teller Operations Manager on bank-wide projects, procedures, trainings and system upgrades. • Adhere to all bank policies and procedures. • Maintain a safe and secure environment. • Perform other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent. • 2+ years of teller experience or combination of education and experience. • Thorough understanding of teller operations and procedures. • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong coaching skills and the desire to help others grow and learn. • Attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work under pressure in a high monetary risk environment. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking ability preferred. • Prior supervisor experience preferred. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, keyboards, phones, photocopiers, adding machines and scanners. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is required to talk, hear, stand, walk, stoop and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to heavy weights of 5 to 40 pounds. This position involves standing for long periods of time, frequently viewing a computer monitor; requires good hand-eye coordination and good arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp. TRAVEL: Occasional travel to assist at other banking centers as needed.
