Monitor ice safety and skaters, maintain ice conditions, assist guests, and communicate with staff.
Must be at least 16, have advanced skating skills, be available evenings/weekends/holidays, and have good interpersonal skills.
Description Primary focus is monitoring skaters on the ice and ensuring optimal ice conditions Duties and Responsibilities • Monitor skaters and ensure proper ice safety procedures are followed • Responsible for alerting managers to any unsafe or potentially hazardous ice conditions • Execute policies and procedures professionally and accurately • Assist guests during incidents or falls and contact management when necessary • Maintain ice during inclement weather or as needed • Practice excellent customer service on and off the ice • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff and guests • Assist set-up and take down for special events • Required to attend all training sessions and staff meetings • Any other duties as assigned Qualifications • Must possess advanced skating ability • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays • Must be at least 16 years of age • Excellent interpersonal skills • Must be willing to comply with all federal, state, and local COVID mandates/guidelines Working Conditions Position is located at a recreational or outdoor facility. Work may be done both indoors and outdoors. Majority of work will be done on or around ice Physical Requirements Position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and ice skating.
