We are looking for a VP of Cloud Engineering to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a forward-thinking technology executive to lead the organization’s cloud strategy, architecture, and engineering functions. You will drive the design and execution of scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud environments while enabling innovation across the business. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of hands-on cloud expertise, strategic leadership, and experience scaling engineering teams in modern, distributed environments. Responsibilities • Define and execute the enterprise cloud strategy and roadmap • Lead and scale cloud engineering and platform teams • Oversee cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments • Drive cloud migration, modernization, and optimization initiatives • Establish best practices for DevOps, automation, and infrastructure as code • Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, and performance standards • Partner with executive leadership to align cloud capabilities with business goals • Optimize cloud cost management and operational efficiency • Manage vendor relationships and cloud platform partnerships Qualifications • 12+ years of IT experience, with significant leadership in cloud engineering • Proven experience leading large-scale cloud transformations • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Expertise in cloud architecture, microservices, and distributed systems • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, etc.) • Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills What Our Client Offers • Competitive executive compensation package with bonus potential • A strategic leadership role with enterprise-wide influence • Opportunity to shape and modernize cloud infrastructure at scale • A forward-thinking, innovation-driven technology environment • Remote flexibility with strong leadership collaboration
