Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering or Supply Chain Management, with strong communication, negotiation, analytical skills, ERP proficiency, and experience in Oil & Gas or related sectors preferred.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Procurement - Expeditor to join our Procurement team in Deer Park, TX (77536). This is a 1-year contract position offering a competitive pay rate of $35/hour. In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying urgent or critical customer orders, tracking associated supplier POs, and driving performance improvements across key suppliers. You ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance supplier on-time delivery (OTD), ensure data accuracy, and maintain strong supplier relationships in support of the Aftermarket Center for our Valves business. Key Responsibilities: • Monitor and act on aging Purchase Requisitions (PRs);create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) • Update PO promise dates from suppliers and respond to ERP exception messages • Support Procurement KPIs: On-Time Delivery, Supplier Promise Date accuracy • Conduct regular performance meetings with strategic suppliers • Partner with Engineering to manage design changes with suppliers • Develop supplier knowledge (manufacturing processes, pricing, quality control) • Collaborate with Global & Site Commodity Leaders to implement cost-saving strategies • Establish strong relationships and serve as a first point of contact with suppliers Job Profile Summary: Under direct supervision, the Expeditor will: • Provide administrative and strategic support to the Procurement team • Verify purchase order data accuracy and maintain data files • Assist with reporting, supplier communication, and special projects • Uphold company standards for Safety, Compliance, and Core Values Qualifications: Required: • Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university Preferred/Desired: • Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills • High energy, self-motivated, and results-driven attitude • Understanding of supplier production processes and pricing • Proficiency in ERP systems and database management • Experience in Oil & Gas or related industrial sectors • Project or program management experience is a plus • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines RightStone is a strategic partner that works with our clients to place the highest caliber of talent for a wide range of industries and skill sets.
