Job Summary We are seeking a meticulous Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards through thorough inspection and analysis. CMM Programming experience is a plus! MUST HAVE RECENT EXPERIENCE IN A CNC HIGH PRECISION FABRICATION ENVIRONMENT. SCOPE OF POSITION: The QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR is responsible for all aspects of parts inspections, documentation and maintenance of inspection equipment. The QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR must ensure that current quality system policies and procedures are maintained in accordance with company and customer quality requirements, while assisting Supervisor and Management in establishing and implementing new requirements as needed. The QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR is evaluated on work results (quality & output) and teamwork based on Ricaurte Precision Inc’s Values: Excellence in Communication with honesty and transparency Attention to detail and Quality in everything we do Flexibility and Resourcefulness to achieve and succeed as a team Eagerness to grow and to help each other grow Gratitude for what we have, for each other and for our clients JOB SPECIFICS Read, analyze and interpret drawings and production schedules Understand and support ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards Perform Fist Article, In-process and Final inspections, accept or reject parts based on customer supplied drawing specifications Effectively communicate with team members and other departments. Follow prioritized day to day work objectives based on input from Supervisor, Production, Engineering and Management Communicate quality issues and concerns with Inspectors, Supervisor, Production and Management Work closely with Supervisor and shop floor personnel to gather information necessary to assist in closing issues by given due dates related to audit findings, CAPA and CAR by collaborating with various functions (e.g., Production, Inspection, Purchasing, Customer Service) Support customer/ISO audit related activities including ensuring initial compliance, on-going preparation and monitoring of conformance to current processes Identify and escalate critical issues that warrant further actions QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Inspector in a busy CNC fabrication environment with ISO 9001 or more stringent certification. Inspection experience with ISO 13485 preferred. Must have experience in First Article, In-process, and Finished product inspections to determine if products are in compliance Proficient in the use of measurement tools (Calipers, Micrometers, Gage Pins, drop indicator, height gage etc.) Experience in tagging and isolating non-conforming parts Ability to assist in writing non-conformance reports, ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations Ability to record test data and apply statistical quality control procedures Ability to evaluate data and identify deviations from specifications Ability to multi-task and quickly shift priorities in support of production needs. Good communication, organizational and problem solving skills. Employee understands that he/she is expected to meet the above requirements and to continue improving himself/herself in these areas. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds (including inspection tools and materials), with occasional assistance for heavier items, and work in a shop floor environment with exposure to noise, varying temperatures, and dust while using appropriate PPE (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection). Frequent standing, walking, and bending to inspect parts, operate precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges), and handle delicate components. Ability to focus and maintain attention to detail for extended periods when performing inspections, interpreting drawings, and documenting findings, with the capacity to work in confined spaces or at varying heights when necessary. Perform repetitive tasks consistently with precision and navigate the shop floor safely while interacting with team members and addressing non-conformances.
