Job Description: The Welder is responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks to assemble and repair metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role requires skill, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards to ensure finished products meet customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: · Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding on a variety of metals (steel, aluminum, stainless, etc.). · Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. · Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment safely and effectively. · Measure, cut, and prepare materials for welding and fabrication. · Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications. · Perform grinding, cutting, and finishing work as needed to complete projects. · Conduct routine maintenance on welding tools and equipment. · Maintain accurate production and quality records. · Follow all safety procedures, wear appropriate PPE, and contribute to a safe work environment. · Support continuous improvement, 5S, and teamwork initiatives within the facility. Qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent required; welding certification preferred. · 2+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment. · Proficient in MIG and TIG welding; knowledge of other processes a plus. · Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols. · Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of metal properties. · Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. · Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Physical Requirements: · Ability to stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods. · Lift up to 50 lbs. as required. · Work in environments with heat, sparks, noise, and fumes, with proper PPE provided.
