Job Description The Refrigeration Sales Engineer III will confer with customers (contractors, OEMs, distributors) to assess their commercial refrigeration product equipment needs and to determine system requirements. This position provides the required technical sales expertise to develop and support key strategic account relationships, while focused on profitable results for our commercial refrigeration equipment business. This position will serve HTPG Division customers in the Midwestern Region of the U.S., from a home-based office located in the region. Our ideal candidate is based in Chicago, IL or Milwaukee, WI near a major airport. Responsibilities • Call on refrigeration wholesale customers, OEMs, contractors, specifying engineers, and prospective customers on a regular basis and provide any other services by creating and pulling business through wholesale channels. • Develop, meet, and exceed annual sales forecasts • Work closely with customers to effectively promote, sell, develop, and implement programs, training, strategy, and support new product introductions • Proactively identify potential market opportunities, including projects and major replacement opportunities, and work with distributors to target and win those opportunities. • Become a “trusted advisor” through regular interaction including meetings with customers brand awareness, working in conjunction with the customer for prequalification and develop application opportunities get the products specified (include technical where required) and assist customers with submittals where required. • Run BTU run-load calculations and select appropriate equipment for specific applications • Prepare and deliver technical presentations through training events or meetings. • Work with all internal departments to ensure end-to-end customer satisfaction. • Evaluate customer performance and identify and implement corrective actions where required, including identifying and assessing potential customers. • Actively participate and represent Rheem and HTPG in local industry organizations • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • High School Diploma required. • Associates Degree or Technical Diploma in HVACR highly preferred • 5+ years of successful experience selling product solutions (or related technologies) in the commercial refrigeration segment • Industry-related certifications and/or involvement such as ASHRAE highly preferred • Background in strong customer relationships, driving commercial equipment solutions. • Ability to travel at least 50% of time • Results and target oriented • Strong written and oral communicator • “Can do” entrepreneurial mindset • Ability to quickly build rapport, relationships and trust within the Rheem and HTPG team, customers/distributors/partners and other stakeholders • Ability to clearly communicate the business and products’ value proposition and be able to confidently stand behind the product. • Confidence to act autonomously and take decision within agreed boundaries to quickly resolve issues. • Customer and solution oriented • Ability to structure information and plan agendas. • Ability to prioritize and rank opportunities based on resources and contribution.
