Position Summary This role serves as a key connector between development, finance, and program operations, ensuring the smooth execution of administrative processes, cultivating funding opportunities, and driving the financial sustainability of the organization. This role is responsible for identifying new avenues for funding (foundations, corporate sponsors, individual donors), applying to funding opportunities, building relationships with potential and current funders, assisting Co-Directors with individual donor campaigns, reviewing quarterly financial documents, and creating and maintaining organizational budgets. This role is also responsible for aiding outreach efforts through collaboration with the marketing and communications lead. The position combines hands-on management of grants and financial tracking with relationship-building and strategic contributions to long-term organizational growth. Key Responsibilities • Grant Development: Research, draft, and edit grant proposals in a timely manner; tailor existing materials for new opportunities; coordinate meetings and collaborate with other team members to efficiently execute application drafts. • Foundation Relations: Support team in scheduling and attending meetings with potential and current funders, track follow-ups, and support relationship-building efforts with foundations. • Grant Reporting & Tracking: Maintain and organize the folders with our grants, prepare required reports, and ensure compliance with deadlines and funder requirements. • Financial Management: Collaborate with Development team to ensure donations are logged in a timely manner; review quarterly financials and present findings to Development team; include Co-Directors and Development team into financial planning conversations to ensure transparent reporting, accountability, and progress tracking with donors. • Contracts & Payroll: Oversee payroll and contract inquiries, manage contract approvals and invoicing; and coordinate with contractors and HR at Re:wild to ensure timely payments and smooth organizational operations. • Team Leadership: Lead weekly development meetings, facilitate grant brainstorming, oversee interns supporting grant research and drafting, keeping development team aligned through regular check-ins and collaboration. • Innovation & Sustainability: Keep organizational finances top of mind, introducing ideas and frameworks to strengthen long-term sustainability. Expectations and Qualifications • 3+ years of experience working in development roles or fundraising positions • Champions financial sustainability by encouraging innovation and encouraging fiscal awareness across the team. • Maintain open communication with team members • Experience with grant writing and fundraising • Experience with CRMs such as Hubspot or Salesforce preferred • Passion for human and environmental health is a plus. • Maintain the highest level of necessary professionalism, composure, credibility, reliability as a representative of Re:wild Your Campus • Willingness to learn new things • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and balance responsibilities • Ability to adapt role to needs of the organization
