The Opportunity: As part of our expanding Medical Affairs organization, we seek a dynamic and experienced Director, Stakeholder Engagement Strategy & Operations to lead the global strategy, planning, and execution of advisory boards across the U.S., EU, and APAC. This role will also have a more contribution to global congress planning, ensuring seamless integration of advisory boards with congress objectives and broader Medical Affairs priorities This individual will report to the Head of Scientific Stakeholder Engagement within Global Medical Excellence and will partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Clinical Development, and Research, with Medical Affairs maintaining leadership for global congresses and pipeline activities. Responsibilities include: Key responsibilities include: Advisory Board Strategy & Operations Oversee Medical Affairs advisory board strategy and operations, with emphasis on integration with global congress planning. Collaborate across Medical Affairs to develop and align global and regional advisory board tactical plan with broader Medical Affairs priorities. Ensure compliant planning, execution, and documentation of global and regional advisory boards aligned with medical strategy. Develop and execute on processes for compliant cross-functional sharing of advisory board insights. Partner with internal team (medical affairs, clinical, commercial) to design impactful advisory board agendas and content to ensure alignment with strategic priorities. Oversee logistical planning for advisory board execution, including oversight of vendors. Track and Manage budgets and vendor relationships related to advisory board activities. Congress Strategy & Execution Collaborate on Medical Affairs planning for priority congresses in the U.S., EU, and APAC regions, ensuring global consistency with regional adaptation. Deliver medical leadership and consistent excellence in congressing through society relationship management and partnership with local markets and cross-functional partners. Ensure high-quality, compliant execution of congress activities including medical booths, symposia, satellite events, and scientific sessions, when appropriate. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Commercial, Clinical Development, and Research to ensure consistent communication and scientific engagement while maintaining appropriate governance and firewalls. Act as the central coordination point for cross-functional teams to align on advisory board priorities, deliverables, and messaging. Operational Leadership & Governance Lead operational planning, budgeting, and vendor management for advisory boards. Ensure compliance with global and regional regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, PMDA, EFPIA, IFPMA). Establish best practices, SOPs, and governance processes for advisory board execution. Capture and disseminate advisory board insights in collaboration with Medical Affairs Insights & Analytics. Required Skills, Experience and Education: Advanced degree (MS, PharmD, PhD or equivalent in life sciences). 10+ years’ experience in Medical Affairs within biotech/pharma, with 5+ years in global congress strategy and operations. Proven track record in leading global and regional advisory boards across U.S., EU, and APAC regions. Strong understanding of oncology therapeutic landscape, particularly pancreatic cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and colorectal cancer. Deep knowledge of compliance standards governing global congresses and scientific exchange. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration in a complex, matrixed environment. Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills. Experience managing budgets, vendors, and operational processes related to congresses and advisory boards. Preferred Skills: Experience in early/late-phase development and product launch preparation in oncology. Prior leadership of global advisory boards strategy alignment.
