A company is looking for a Kafka Platform Engineer for a remote, contract-to-hire opportunity. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and support scalable Kafka-based messaging pipelines for real-time communication • Monitor cloud services, optimize performance, and manage user permissions for secure access • Automate deployment processes, integrate new code into production, and improve deployment efficiency Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience • At least 1 platform-specific certification (AWS, Azure, GCP, DevSecOps, Apache Kafka) • 2+ years of relevant experience in platform engineering • 2+ years of experience with cloud services and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform • Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate preferred
