You will act as a technical lead in identifying, resolving, and preventing production issues, and play a key role in shaping our support operations through automation, monitoring, and process improvement. This role requires a high degree of technical expertise, operational discipline, and cross-functional communication. You’ll also mentor junior team members and contribute to engineering excellence and a strong DevOps culture. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Lead the investigation and resolution of complex and high-impact production incidents. * Serve as the escalation point for production support engineers and coordinate cross-team collaboration during outages. * Analyze system performance and identify areas of improvement in application reliability, scalability, and observability. * Drive the development and implementation of monitoring, alerting, and self-healing capabilities for our systems. * Build automation tools to streamline incident response, environment validation, and root cause analysis. * Own post-incident reviews (PIRs), ensure timely documentation, and work with dev teams to address systemic issues. * Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other production support and engineering team members. * Collaborate with developers, QA, DevOps, and product managers to improve deployment and support processes. * Participate in on-call rotations and improve incident response readiness and tooling. Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience. * 5+ years of experience in a production support, site reliability engineering (SRE), or DevOps role. * Deep expertise in C# and .NET technologies; able to debug production code and logs effectively. * Strong database experience including complex T-SQL queries, performance tuning, and SQL Server internals. * Advanced experience with Azure services, particularly around app hosting, monitoring, logging, and databases. * Demonstrated ability to lead incident response efforts and work under pressure. * Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) to automate tasks and build operational tools. * Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to drive conversations with engineering and business stakeholders. * Experience with Azure Application Insights, Log Analytics, or other observability platforms. * Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar. * Knowledge of ITIL or SRE principles, and experience establishing support SLAs and metrics. * Experience working in highly regulated or mission-critical environments.
