Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Controller and strong operational leader to oversee the company’s financial function while providing leadership oversight to the Operations department. This role combines financial responsibility with hands-on leadership aimed at improving structure, accountability, and performance across operational and support teams. The Controller & Operations Leader does not manage daily operational tasks. The Operations department is staffed with an Operations Manager, Customer Service Manager, and technical staff who handle execution. This role focuses on oversight, coaching, and leadership development, ensuring systems, reporting, and processes continue to mature and scale with the business. Key Responsibilities • Lead the company’s financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. • Provide oversight, coaching, and leadership to the Operations department and support teams. • Help increase the leadership quotient of operational and support staff through guidance, accountability, and development. • Increase systems and reporting maturity across finance and operations. • Establish meaningful metrics and KPIs, review performance, and coach action plans. • Lead continuous improvement efforts and reinforce a mindset of ownership, efficiency, and accountability. • Improve coordination between finance and operations to support company objectives. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • 5–7+ years of experience in accounting or financial leadership roles. • Experience overseeing or supporting operations teams is preferred. • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills. • Zoho and AI Experience A Major Plus • Ability to lead through influence, structure, and data rather than day-to-day execution.
