RetroFoam of Michigan is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join our team. Do you love meeting new people and helping them solve complex problems? RetroFoam is a passionate and forward-thinking injection foam insulation supplier, with lofty goals of solving homeowner comfort and energy efficiency challenges through our network of insulation contractors across the country. We are looking to add an ambitious sales professional with a successful track record to our strong Michigan team. If you have the passion and the skillset, we hope you will consider joining us. You will be traveling around the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, meeting with home and property owners throughout the week and some weekends inspecting their homes, determining and presenting the right solution to meet their needs, and educating and answering any questions to sell foam insulation. The right person for the job won't shy away from long days of driving, back to back appointments and challenging situations. The ideal candidate will have or be: • A strong desire to help others, both personally and professionally • A strong work ethic and a desire to learn • A positive attitude and a desire to exceed expectations • Excellent communication and follow-up skills • Ability to multi-task and prioritize • A good listener, and team player that takes initiative and responsibility. • Organized with paperwork, CRM, and job documentation. Duties: • Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs. Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients. • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale. • Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest. • Maintains detailed and organized reports/paperwork including but not limited to records of sales activities (job proposals, pictures, notes, etc) lost business, driving schedules, follow ups, and any customer relationship problems. • Can teach customers about our products/ continued education/training • Participates in weekly sales meeting, via Zoom when applicable or when in-person meetings are held. • Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities • A valid Driver’s license • Great attitude, self motivated, but also a team player who takes initiative and responsibility • Knows all the key steps of in-home sales and how to apply each step. Knows how to close • A very strong will to succeed, an unrelenting drive to sell high volume consistently • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. • Excellent sales and negotiation skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Education and Experience • Past customer service experience; Home Improvement Sales experience • Experience in home improvement products transfers well to this position.
