Overview Department: Research Reports to: Director of Research Accounting Overview: The position of Research Accounting Specialist involves assistance and support to the Research Accounting Department. Duties are not limited to this listing only; additional tasks can be assigned to the employee at the discretion of their supervisor and company needs. This position's base rate is $19/hr. Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities: • Interpret study budgets to create and submit assigned site invoices • Conduct clerical duties including filing, and scanning • Maintain up-to-date uploading of accounting activity in CTMS (i.e. RealTime) study folders • Research and gather receipts or patient data needed for bills or invoicing • Correspond with site to rectify any accounting issues • Research non-applicable procedures to void invoice and properly document in CTMS • Request remittances and apply payments as needed • Assist with month-end deposit reconciliation in CTMS • Perform other related duties as assigned Skills/Competencies: • Demonstrates problem-solving abilities and analytical skills • Ability to work effectively in a work environment • Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and appropriate practice management software • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation • Ability to manage time, prioritize, and multi-task • Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies and procedures Qualifications Qualifications: Education Requirements • College degree preferred • High School Diploma Required Experience Requirements: • None • Working knowledge of GAAP preferred
