RESRG Automotive is seeking you to join our team as a Purchasing Category manager – Equipment, Packaging & Logistics Indirect Material in our Troy, MI facility! Your Job The Category Manager, Equipment, Packaging, and Logistics is an individual contributor position with responsibility for the strategy and performance of about $75m in annual buy. This position will be responsible for a subset of categories within our indirect buy for North America. This individual will lead a strategic sourcing initiative to consolidate two legacy companies’ spend with the most strategic and competitive suppliers.This person will have responsibility for supporting annual spend for 7 manufacturing sites in North America and also coordinate with counterparts to support the EMEA region for shared suppliers and goods. This individual will coordinate with plant operational buyers to implement sourcing strategies and achieve year over year performance targets. The goal and objectives are to drive superior value and achieve a competitive advantage for RESRG Automotive. What you Will do in Your Role • Build working relationships with key stakeholders in the business in including manufacturing and supply chain. • Co-Champion a strategic reset and value capture program for key commodities by driving a robust strategic sourcing process and deploying cost reduction levers. Two legacy purchasing organizations and new ownership drives opportunity to consolidate spend with the most competitive sourcing and supply chain options. • Develop metrics/KPIs that measure performance, total cost of ownership (TCO), and profitability, both for the organization and for the supply base. • Build and lead cross functional teams to achieve current-year plant performance and cost targets. Manage portfolio of initiatives to achieve annual targets. • Foster strong supplier relationships with indirect material suppliers for collaboration, innovation, quality, delivery, and cost. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) • Bachelor’s degree • 5+ years relevant work experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Operations • Skilled in Analytics, Negotiations, and Supplier relationship management • Willing and able to travel as required (up to 25%) What Will Put You Ahead • Advanced degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain or Business Management • Experience with engineering, manufacturing, or raw material within the Automotive Industry • Experience leading through influence (e.g., cross functional teams, indirect reports, etc.) • Experience in mergers, integration, or value capture; in private equity or consulting About the Company We are a fast-growing B2B company with a strong internal culture that values respect for others, diversity, serving a greater purpose, and passionate creativity.
