Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing technical projects in an enterprise environment and hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Position Overview We are seeking a skilled IT Project and Service Delivery Support Specialist to support key IT initiatives within the consolidated information technology network and service delivery project (NREN) in Crane, Indiana. This individual will be instrumental in supporting and executing ongoing IT projects, managing service delivery activities, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards. The ideal candidate brings a combination of technical knowledge, analytical acumen, and strong communication abilities. Project & Resource Management Manage multiple projects and initiatives concurrently, optimizing resource allocation and resolving conflicts. Provide weekly status updates for at least 5 concurrent projects and maintain detailed tracking documentation. Identify and communicate scope, cost, or timeline deviations to stakeholders. Risk Management & Performance Evaluation Establish and maintain a comprehensive risk tracking system throughout the service delivery lifecycle. Continuously evaluate implementation performance against design specifications and operational objectives. Implementation & Optimization Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate recommendations into technical action items. Develop and maintain new/existing service processes and project documentation. Technical Understanding & Documentation Develop technical understanding across a wide range of technologies (see below). Produce and maintain SOPs, technical guides, user documentation, and implementation specifications. Work with SMEs to draft comprehensive technical documentation for all supported initiatives. Stakeholder Communication & Reporting Provide regular project status briefings to stakeholders and leadership. Maintain situational awareness through high-level updates on outages, solutions, and key NREN metrics. Deliver resource capacity and dependency risk briefings to support organizational planning. Operational & Lifecycle Support Ensure compliance with organizational change management procedures. Oversee software/hardware license and lifecycle management, from procurement to end-of-life. Directly support NREN network consolidation and Navy enterprise service adoption. Required Technical Domain Knowledge (Basic Understanding) Directory & Security Tools: Active Directory (AD), ACAS, HBSS Security Monitoring: Splunk, Cisco Stealthwatch (SNA), Comply-to-Connect, Zero Trust Network & Virtualization: Cisco ACI, SDA, SD-WAN, F5 Load Balancers, Nutanix Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and hybrid cloud environments Reporting & Project Management Tools Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Power BI Agile Platforms: JIRA, ServiceNow Required Skills Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively High attention to detail and documentation accuracy Experience in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration Ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks Required Experience & Certification Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) – Required Experience: Minimum of 5 years managing technical projects in an enterprise environment Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in Department of Defense (DoD), Navy, or federal IT environments Familiarity with IT systems and Network service delivery projects At RMC, we're committed to your career growth! Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $80,000 to $110,000 (annually).
