Hi, The following requirement is open with our client. Sr Cloud Infrastructure Architect/Engineer Multi-Cloud (Azure & AWS) Duration: 12+ Months Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) INTERVIEW PROCESS Initial interview will be conducted via zoom. Must be available to attend a 2nd face to face interview at the Houston Corporate office. TECHNICAL SKILLS Must Have • Infrastructure engineering & cloud architecture • Hands-on experience with Azure & AWS infrastructure • Expert-level Terraform development for multi-cloud automation • 80% AWS / 20% Azure Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Architect/Engineer to design, implement, and optimize scalable, resilient cloud environments across Azure and AWS. This role requires deep expertise in infrastructure automation, security governance, networking, and multi-cloud architecture to support our strategic cloud initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Architect highly available, fault-tolerant multi-cloud solutions aligned with business objectives • Develop technical documentation, architectural blueprints, and best practices • Evaluate and recommend cloud services and emerging technologies to enhance infrastructure efficiency • Automate provisioning, scaling, and resource lifecycle management with Terraform and Ansible • Collaborate with Business and application support troubleshooting AWS / Azure issues • Work with Security and Compliance teams to design and enforce cloud security architectures, governance frameworks, and compliance controls • Work with Security and Compliance teams to implement identity management, encryption, access control, and regulatory compliance measures • Work with Network and Security teams to design hybrid network architectures including VPCs, subnets, VPNs, and direct connect solutions • Develop and document load balancing, DNS, and traffic routing strategies to optimize performance • Work with Operations and Security teams to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network connectivity, latency, and security configurations • Provide technical mentorship and collaborate with Infrastructure, Operations, and Security teams • Participate in architecture reviews and technical decision-making processes • Present solutions, recommendations, and technical strategies to leadership and stakeholders • Stay ahead of cloud innovations, security trends, and industry advancements Qualifications • 15+ years in infrastructure engineering & cloud architecture required • 5+ years hands-on experience with Azure & AWS infrastructure required • 2+ years of expert-level Terraform development for multi-cloud automation required • 2 + years of hands-on coding exp to deploy resources using IaC Terraform / CloudFormation • Proficiency in AWS / Azure CLI, Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting required • Experience in deploying and managing Landing Zone, Control Tower, Guard rails etc required • Strong knowledge of Azure Virtual Networks, Resource Manager, Active Directory, and Key Vault required • Expertise in AWS Transit Gateway, Route tables, Gateway Load Balancers, VPC, IAM, Lambda required • Knowledge of hybrid cloud connectivity, network security, and optimization required • Experience with VPN, direct connect, and access control required • Expertise in Docker, EKS / AKS and container orchestration technologies preferred • Experience with cloud-native monitoring tools (AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor) preferred • Strong understanding of cloud security principles (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001) preferred • Hands-on experience with compliance frameworks (SOC2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA) preferred • Proficiency in security scanning, vulnerability management, and incident response preferred • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, including error budgets and SLOs preferred • Strong system administration, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning preferred • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred • TOP DAILY PRIORITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Support DevOps and Developers with deployment issues • Develop automation to enable dev teams to consume cloud environment more efficiently • Review cloud environments for policy violations and remediate issues found using security tools Nice To Have Cloud-native monitoring tools (AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor) Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
