Bachelor's degree, 7+ years system architecture experience, AWS or Azure Architect certification, and familiarity with FISMA/NIST compliance.
Computer Systems Engineer/Architect - Senior • Role: Senior engineer or architect responsible for configuring, operating, and ensuring the reliability of the overall computing infrastructure (Windows, UNIX/Linux, mainframe). • Key Responsibilities: • * Provide technical expertise for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of server-based systems (Windows, UNIX/Linux), as well as middleware (Tomcat, TomEE) and other system functionalities. • Manage batch processing, data file transfers, and backup/recovery using tools such as OpenSSL, BASH, or PowerShell. • Define the system architecture for integrating mainframe, web, and cloud environments. • Lead the modernization and re-hosting of legacy applications. • Acquire, install, or upgrade software and hardware components, and apply system and application security patches. • Identify and take action to replace aging technology (Technical Refresh). • Ensure system availability, performance, resource management, and security by using appropriate change and configuration management tools. • Maintain stability in Service Operations by ensuring systems are operational at least 99% of the time, and actively monitor them using system automation alerts. server-based systems (Windows, UNIX/Linux), middleware (Tomcat, TomEE), and other system functionality. • Manage batch processing, data file transfers, and backup/recovery using tools like OpenSSL, BASH, or Powershell. • Define system architecture for integration of mainframe, web, and cloud environments. • Leads modernization and re-hosting of legacy applications. • Acquire, install, or upgrade software and hardware components and apply system/application security patches. • Identify and take action to replace aging technology (Technical Refreshment). • Ensure system availability, performance, resources, and system security using proper change and configuration management tools. • Maintain stability in Service Operations by ensuring systems are operational at least 99% of the time, monitoring and using system automation alerts. • Qualifications: • * Bachelor's degree in engineering or IT (master's Preferred) • 7+ years system architecture experience • Certifications: AWS or Azure Architect • Familiarity with FISMA/NIST SP 800-53 compliance Company DescriptionOur mission is to empower our clients to achieve sustainable success through efficient, cost-effective, and scalable solutions that drive significant performance improvements.
