Work Location This is a remote opportunity with the potential for limited travel. Preference will be given to candidates located in the Metro Atlanta area, Greater Memphis area, Birmingham, or New Orleans. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for credentialing, including managing provider documentation and vendor requests. Support the Compliance Officer in developing, coordinating, and delivering compliance training across the organization. Investigate and report on potential HIPAA breaches, OSHA incidents, and other compliance matters; ensure timely reporting to regulatory bodies. Assist with regulatory audits, policy development, and communication of new or revised regulations. Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and support the execution of the auditing and monitoring workplan. Prepare and distribute compliance reports and a monthly compliance newsletter. Facilitate cross-departmental meetings, including scheduling, note-taking, and follow-up on action items. Manage third-party risk/vendor management processes and assist with radiation and OSHA requirements. Collaborate with HR, IT, RCM, and other departments on compliance initiatives. Uphold confidentiality and safeguard all compliance-related documents and communications. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a legal or healthcare-related field preferred. Certification (CPC, CHC, or CHPC) preferred; willingness to obtain certification within 12 months required (note: CPC certification timeline may be flexible). Experience working closely with medical providers. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Canvas or Adobe Illustrator a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail, proofreading, and documentation abilities.
