Business Development Contractor - Project-Based Organization Overview Resilient Futures is a nonprofit organization committed to advancing trauma-informed, equity-centered practices in education, workplaces, and communities. We partner with educators, leaders, and organizations to build resilience, belonging, and well-being. Contract Overview Resilient Futures is seeking a Business Development Contractor to support targeted growth and meaningful expansion of our mission-driven work. The goal of this project is to identify and cultivate new partnerships interested in trauma-informed, equity-centered services. This project combines relationship-building, digital marketing strategy, and entrepreneurial growth. The ideal contractor for this project brings experience in business development and partnership cultivation and is excited to help expand revenue streams for a mission-driven organization. This is a remote or hybrid contract, with flexibility for occasional in-person meetings or events in the Denver Metro area. Scope of Services The consultant will provide strategic and implementation support in the following areas. Business Development ● Research, identify and pursue partnership opportunities with corporations and organizations interested in employee wellness, trauma-informed leadership, workplace well-being, and other relevant topics. ● Build relationships with HR leaders, corporate wellness teams, and values-aligned organizations. ● Collaborate with Resilient Futures leadership to shape offerings for corporate trainings, workshops, retreats, or other services. ● Support the development of outreach materials, partnership proposals, and pricing structures for private-sector engagements. ● Support Resilient Futures at relevant networking, corporate, or wellness-focused events when appropriate. Online Learning Growth ● Develop and implement strategies to increase enrollment in Resilient Futures’ online educator learning modules. ● Identify target audiences and recommend outreach approaches to expand participation. ● Provide recommendations to strengthen messaging and user engagement related to digital learning offerings. Marketing and Visibility ● Contribute to strategies that communicate the value of trauma-informed wellness for workplaces and educators. ● Support the development of digital storytelling and marketing materials highlighting Resilient Futures’ impact and offerings. ● Assist in developing case studies or testimonials from partners or clients. Desired Outcomes Proposals should demonstrate how the consultant will support outcomes such as: ● Securing new strategic partnerships or contracts for Resilient Futures programs. ● Increasing revenue from non-education sector engagements. ● Expanding enrollment and engagement in Resilient Futures’ online learning modules. ● Strengthening Resilient Futures’ visibility and impact among corporate and professional audiences. Desired Qualifications Ideal consultants will demonstrate: ● A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. ● Ten years of experience in business development, partnerships, marketing, or related fields. ● Experience working with organizations in wellness, education, leadership development, or social impact sectors. ● Demonstrated success developing partnerships or revenue-generating opportunities. ● Experience engaging with HR departments, corporate wellness initiatives, or organizational leadership programs. ● Strong communication and storytelling skills. ● Alignment with trauma-informed and equity-centered values. You will collaborate with a mission-driven team committed to well-being, reflection, creativity, and meaningful impact. This is a project-based role for 6 months and will be renewed/revised as needed. Compensation Up to 30 hours/week as needed - $1,500 - 1,900 - weekly retainer This is a 1099 independent contractor position. You are responsible for your own expenses, you must cover your own technology costs, you must have reliable transportation for any in person events, and you are responsible for reporting your income to the IRS.
