About the Role: The Sales Lead is a senior level position in the company and designed for existing senior sales managers or directors who have experience selling clinical trial technology. If you do not have experience selling clinical trials technology, you are unlikely to be hired. As Sales Lead, you’ll be instrumental in building and scaling R.grid, a fast-growing startup serving the clinical trials sector. You’ll deliver on the full sales cycle, lead a sector-focused sales team, and work closely with the marketing team and C-suite to align sales and customer success with our strategic priorities. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on senior leader with strong SaaS experience, deep knowledge of the clinical research ecosystem, and a passion for helping customers succeed. Role and Responsibilities • Develop and execute proactive sales strategies for the pharmaceutical and medical research markets to meet revenue targets. • Identify and prioritize high-potential accounts, generate new leads, and manage the full sales cycle from outreach to close. • Execute customer success outcomes post-sale, including pipeline health, satisfaction, and renewals, while reporting key metrics to the executive team. • Build and evolve a scalable customer success playbook to support predictable, measurable growth. • Respond to client and partner inquiries promptly, resolving issues to maintain strong relationships and drive retention. • Lead, track, and communicate weekly key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure accountability and productivity. • Collaborate closely with marketing to align go-to-market activities and create targeted, high-conversion campaigns. • Run technical demos, explain technology to leads and customers, and working with different forms of technology and software • Represent R.grid at industry events and conferences, helping build brand awareness and strategic influence. • Deliver the full sales cycle for net‑new enterprise business in pharma, biotech, CROs, clinical research sites, and medical research organizations. • Build strategic territories, including geo planning and pipeline coverage. • Identify and target high-potential accounts through expert prospecting, outbound outreach and consultative engagement. • Create a time-blocked rhythm across prospecting, discovery, demo, negotiation and expansion activities. Essential Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills: • 10+ years of experience driving new business revenue through full-cycle B2B SaaS sales, with a strong, data-backed track record from lead generation to deal closure. • Demonstrated experience and proven success selling enterprise-level clinical trials software and technology. • Previous experience with end-to-end sales: cold-calling, automated outreach, technical demos, explaining technology, and closing a sale. • Global technology sales experience across EMEA, North America, and/or Asia. • Track record of selling clinical trials technology to at least two buyer profiles. • Comfortable working across cultures and time zones, with experience engaging global teams or clients. • Experience in a startup or early-stage sales team. • Strong executive-level communication, negotiation, and team leadership skills. • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with strong attention to detail and time management. • Self-motivated and organized, with excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in tools such as Google Workspace, Apple technology, Slack, and sales CRMs. • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Business, STEM, Communications, or a related field. • Willingness to commit to a full-time, long-term role that includes domestic and international travel and conference or event attendance.
