Lead architecture and system design for multi-camera embedded video systems including technical leadership and integration.
7+ years in embedded camera/video system architecture with expertise in Linux C++, ISP tuning, video streaming, Android SDK, and related technologies.
Job Description: • Architecture & system design • Definition of the end-to-end architecture (camera → ISP → video pipeline → apps → backend) • Architecture of multi-camera systems (up to 8 streams), including synchronization and latency optimization • Definition of software modules, interfaces and APIs (Android/Linux) • Decisions on ISP configuration, encoder pipelines, streaming and recording paths • Responsible for security, diagnostics and performance concepts • Technical ownership • Evaluation and integration of sensors, interfaces (GMSL, I²C), drivers, and NPU functions • Creation/review of system and software requirements • Analysis of off-the-shelf features and IQ (image quality) tuning strategies • Ensuring compatibility with vehicle networks (CAN, IP, diagnostics) • Close collaboration with teams for: Linux framework (C++) • Android app/SDK (Kotlin) • NPU/object detection • ISP tuning & image quality • Technical leadership of internal teams & suppliers • Leading technical workshops and architecture reviews • Ensuring maturity levels FM5 / FM6 / SOP • Definition of KPIs, monitoring concepts, and test strategies • Technical risk analysis & mitigation measures • Contribution to CI/CD concept & deployment strategy Requirements: • ≥ 7 years' experience in software/system architecture for camera/video/multimedia/embedded • Expertise in at least three of the following areas: Linux C++ frameworks / middleware • ISP tuning / image processing • Camera/video streaming, encoders, media pipelines • Android app/SDK (Kotlin/AOSP) • NPU / object detection • Deep understanding of camera/video interfaces (GMSL, I²C, MIPI) • Experience with CAN, IP, diagnostics & DTC • Proficiency in CI/CD, GitHub workflows, and automated integration • Excellent documentation and communication skills Benefits: • Interesting and rewarding projects • Flexible working hours - no core working hours • Mentoring during the onboarding phase • Up to 4 weeks per year working abroad • 30 days vacation • Contribution to company pension scheme • Employee loans (interest-free) • Employee discounts with over 250 companies • Training and teambuilding activities • Approximately 10 company events and team events per year • Professional development and language courses (German or English) • Personal development plan (Grow with us) • Free drinks and communal lunches • Multicultural, committed and open team
