About the Opportunity: We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Warehouse & Logistics Manager to take full ownership of warehouse operations and transportation management at our Brooklyn hub. This leader will be responsible for bringing modern supply chain discipline to daily operations, implementing system-based processes, and building a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in creating structure, elevating teams, and transforming legacy environments into efficient, data-driven operations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operational Management & Discipline • Manage daily warehouse operations and a small fleet/driver team to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and service standards are met. • Create and manage staff schedules to optimize labor utilization. • Oversee all inventory control functions, including cycle counting, reconciliation, and accuracy improvement initiatives. • Manage transportation logistics including routing, dispatch, carrier relations, DOT considerations, and freight cost management. • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, OSHA standards, and company procedures. 2. KPI-Driven Performance & Accountability • Develop and implement a comprehensive KPI framework to measure team performance. • Create daily, weekly, and monthly performance dashboards to drive visibility and continuous improvement. • Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and corrective action processes to ensure accountability and effectiveness. 3. Systems Implementation & Process Transformation • Lead the transition from manual, visual workflows (whiteboards, clipboards) to a fully integrated ERP/WMS-enabled operation. • Support the design, rollout, and training for a system-driven warehouse management approach. • Develop, document, and maintain detailed SOPs for receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, dispatch, and transportation workflows. 4. Team Leadership & Development • Lead, mentor, schedule, and develop a team of warehouse associates and drivers. • Build a culture centered on accountability, professionalism, safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement. • Identify training needs and support skill development to strengthen overall team capability. 5. Financial & Resource Management • Manage the warehouse and transportation operating budget. • Monitor and analyze labor spend, freight costs, and other operational expenses to identify efficiency opportunities. • Optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, equipment allocation, and staffing levels to improve throughput and reduce waste. Required Qualifications & Experience: • 7 years of progressive warehouse and transportation management experience, ideally within distribution, 3PL, manufacturing, or military environments. • Strong leadership presence with the ability to set high expectations and hold teams accountable in a respectful, consistent manner. • Proven experience implementing or managing an ERP or WMS in a warehouse environment. • Demonstrated success creating KPIs and performance dashboards that delivered measurable operational improvements. • Experience with routing, transportation management, carrier relations, and DOT/OSHA compliance. • A natural builder who thrives on establishing structure, implementing systems, and transforming processes. • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves and leading from the front while driving disciplined, high-performance execution. • A systems-thinker with a holistic understanding of warehouse and logistics flow—from receiving inbound freight to final delivery. Compensation & Benefits: Compensation • $120,000 - $150,000 salary • Commensurate with experience.
