About the Role We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Software Engineering team. This role is primarily focused on back-end development using Ruby on Rails and Postgres, with opportunities to contribute to front-end and infrastructure work as well. You’ll work independently on development tasks while collaborating closely with teammates on planning, reviews, and decision-making. Responsibilities * Design and build new features within a microservices architecture * Propose and implement technical solutions in collaboration with the team * Participate in planning sessions, code reviews, and architecture discussions * Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Project Management, along with other groups within the organization * Contribute to the growth of the team and technical best practices Minimum Requirements * Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer * Strong experience with Ruby on Rails and React * Experience working in a microservices environment * Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with a remote team Preferred Qualifications * Experience with Docker and AWS * Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform * Financial Services industry experience (consumer lending) Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $170-200K annually. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and geographic market. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * This role is primarily sedentary, requiring extended periods of computer use. * Regular activities include writing code, participating in virtual meetings, and collaborating via online tools. * No unusual physical requirements are associated with this role. EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK * Work hours are generally flexible; some coordination with team members in other time zones may be required. Travel * Minimal travel is required for this position. * Occasional in-person events or team gatherings may occur 1–2 times per year.
