Job title: Foundation Director/Grant Administrator Company: Hollidaysburg Area School District Job description: Hollidaysburg Area School District is currently seeking a full-time Foundation Director/Grant Administrator. Bachelor?s Degree in business or communications preferred, and all other qualifications listed on our website. All requested materials must be received by 10/4/2023 to be considered for employment and will be held confidential. . Potential duties to include: Prepares and submits records, reports and District information as required and/or requested by the district superintendent. Searches private foundations and other private sources to identify funding opportunities that coincide with district and building goals and objectives. Obtains information, data, and grant application forms necessary to fulfill the requirements of application. Direct, lead and perform the administration of Foundation and Alumni activities and work closely with the Superintendent and Foundation Board of Directors to develop and implement the Foundation?s mission, vision and goals. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Receives direction and supervision from the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Business Manager in regard to daily work duties. WORKING CONDITIONS: Works indoors in adequate workspace, lighting, ventilation, and temperatures. Works with average indoor exposure to noise, disruptions, and stress Travels to various schools within District. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL CONDITIONS: Must possess the ability to record, convey, and present information, explain procedures and follow instructions. Must be able to sit for long periods throughout the workday with intermittent periods of walking and/or standing, constant grasping of objects, frequent twisting, bending and reaching, as necessary to carry out essential job duties. Dexterity requirements range from coordinated finger/hand movement to operate computer to simple movement of feet/legs/torso as necessary to carry out duties of job. Light work with occasional lifting of textbooks weighing a maximum of twenty (20) pounds. Must be able to pay close attention to details and concentrate on work. Must be able to apply reasoning in initiation, problem solving, decision-making and independent judgment skills in carrying out job duties. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor?s Degree in business or communications preferred. WORK EXPERIENCE: Satisfactory administrative experience preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Must be able to speak and understand the English language in an understandable manner in order to carry out essential function of job. Must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills. Must possess initiative and problem solving skills. Must possess the ability to function independently, have flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with students, co-workers, family members and others. Must possess the ability to maintain confidentiality in regard to District student and program information and records. Must possess the technical knowledge of operating personal computers and other office equipment with accuracy and reasonable speed. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local policies, procedures and regulations as they apply to the District and responsible program and entire reporting requirements. Must possess knowledge and ability in interacting effectively and compassionately with student population and their responsible families. Must possess considerable knowledge of education/teaching theory, principles and practices and skills in the application of such methods and techniques. Must possess ability to maintain accurate and required documentation and complete required forms and reports in timely manner.
