Job title: Technical Program Manager, Kuiper Security in Redmond, WA at Amazon Company: Amazon Job description: DESCRIPTIONProject Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Have you wanted an opportunity to secure an advanced satellite broadband telecom service? The Kuiper Security team owns the security of product and operations of Project Kuiper end-to-end. We provide the necessary infrastructure and mechanisms to ensure the security of our satellite constellation and to protect the integrity and confidentiality of our customer data. Our team drives the research & development, deployment and operation of several mission-critical security systems and mechanisms. You will work in a start-up like environment, backed by Amazon's infrastructure to bootstrap security mechanisms, and help instill the security culture in the organization.Export Control Requirement Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Key job responsibilitiesIn this role, you will: Take a role in identifying, scoping, and delivering large security programs to continuously improve the security posture of Kuiper. Work with key stakeholders in security and product management and executive teams to define strategy and requirements Assist in leading cross functional programs You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs and technical constraints. Work with remote teams to deliver supporting mechanisms and metrics in sync with launch timeline Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks, and improvements Take on large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner. A day in the life In this role you'll work with a team of engineers, managers, and TPMs. You'll help identify business security priorities, mechanisms to address the priorities, trends in the findings your team generates or processes and will work with partners to remove these bug classes at source. You influence the security strategy of partner teams to optimize security outcomes for our customers. You'll participate in hiring, development, training of team members.
