Full Description

Join a leading provider of advanced electrical and mechanical solutions as an MEP Technical Coordinator specializing in HVAC and Control Systems. In this dynamic role, you will serve as a key technical expert and onsite representative, working closely with customers during the installation and commissioning of critical systems such as UPS, switchgear, and chillers. This position offers the opportunity to leverage your engineering expertise to troubleshoot, innovate, and deliver solutions in complex environments, with a primary focus on mechanical (HVAC) and control systems. While your main site will be your focus, occasional travel to other locations may be required to support advanced projects. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on high-profile projects and collaborate with a talented, multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities • Lead integration and commissioning of HVAC equipment and control systems, ensuring seamless communication with owners’ control platforms. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system communication, programming, and hardware configuration. • Retrofit and upgrade obsolete control systems to new platforms, ensuring compatibility with existing devices. • Oversee and coordinate the commissioning process for chillers and other mechanical systems, working closely with onsite agents. • Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders and participate in centralized discussions for issue resolution. • Verify quality assurance processes to ensure systems meet project requirements and installation standards. • Coordinate project schedules with business units and address project challenges with appropriate solutions. • Manage large project sites to ensure timely completion and adherence to project milestones. • Serve as the primary point of contact for the HVAC portion of projects, maintaining regular communication with internal and external teams. • Provide formal project status updates and participate in weekly MEP calls and regular project meetings. • Ensure compliance with site safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience and training. • Professional certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), Certified HVAC Designer (CHD), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or EPA 608 Certification are a plus. • 10+ years of experience working with advanced mechanical systems, including chillers, chilled water piping, VAVs, CRAHs, and AHUs. • Hands-on experience with HVAC system interfaces and retrofitting control systems, preferably in industrial settings. • Familiarity with Energy Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) or similar platforms (e.g., SCADA). • Experience configuring communication cards and integrating control systems. • 2+ years of experience managing large, high-profile projects. • Proficient in reading blueprints and building information documents. • Strong project management, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across business units and with customers. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and project management tools. • Willingness to travel within the North American region as needed. 3 weeks onsite/1 week remote • Professional, self-motivated, dependable, and enthusiastic team player. • Experience with installation and field work in the electrical industry, including data center environments, is highly desirable.
