SENIOR MANAGER, SALES Job Title: Sr. Manager, Sales Location: New York, New York Role Type: Sponsorship Sales Reports to: Head of Sales, Americas & Regional About Relevent Football Partners Relevent Football Partners (RFP) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Relevent, purpose-built to commercialise the UEFA men’s club competitions globally. An independent entity, RFP is tasked with providing UC3 — the joint venture between UEFA and the European Club Association (ECA) — strategic and sales support in the worldwide marketing and sale of media, sponsorship, and licensing rights for the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Youth League, and the UEFA Futsal Champions League. Following the UC3 tender process, Relevent Football Partners was awarded the commercial rights to the UEFA men’s club competitions (Champions League, Europa League and Conference League) on a global basis for the 2027 to 2033 cycles. As such, Relevent Football Partners is now seeking to build a truly world class business focused on the monetisation of these commercial rights. Position Summary The Sr. Manager, Sales individual will be responsible for helping execute the commercial strategy and ultimately generating revenue via the sale of fully integrated commercial sponsorships for UEFA Men’s Club Competitions. This position will work directly with the Head of Sales, Americas & Regional to spearhead the sponsorship sales efforts at a global and regional level for the portfolio. Key Responsibilities · Participate in the development and creation of marketing materials for the purpose of commercial presentations · Identify and secure industry leading strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and licensing opportunities with global brands. · Secure strategic level relationships with clients and agencies · Contribute to sponsorship revenue generation · Participate in all events and experiential marketing commercial activities · Act as representative at commercial and marketing events · Ensure the legal consistency of the sponsorship documents · Utilise data-driven insights to optimise revenue opportunities Qualifications & Experience As our preferred candidate, you will have: · 5-7+ years professional experience working in sales/business development roles in sponsorship · Experience in the sports industry (with an emphasis in soccer) preferred · A passion for sports and interest in soccer · Ultimate team player · Proven track record originating, negotiating and closing partnerships · Existing contacts and relationships with agencies and brands · Strong ability to influence and persuade at all levels of an agency or client · Entrepreneurial spirit with excellent interpersonal and communications skills · English fluency required, proficiency in other languages preferred · Willingness to travel in the USA, Europe, and LATAM · Bachelor’s degree required.
