Team: Product Location: Remote – U.S. Only Type: Part-Time, Unpaid Internship About Us Relentless Returns is an SEC-registered investment management firm creating a digital-first platform that brings sophisticated investment strategies—once reserved for institutions—directly to retail investors. We blend quantitative models, market insight, and a clean, automated interface to deliver actively managed portfolios designed to outperform traditional passive tools. As we grow, staying ahead of the curve means having a clear view of who else is in the market—and what sets us apart. About the Role We’re seeking a Product Intern focused on Competitive Research to help us analyze the landscape of fintech investing platforms. You’ll conduct detailed product and market research, track competitors, and benchmark features and flows to help the team make strategic product and go-to-market decisions. Your insights will inform how we differentiate and position Relentless Returns within a fast-moving space. What You'll Be Doing • Research and monitor a range of fintech platforms (e.g., robo-advisors, hybrid investment apps, crypto/alt investing tools) • Document and summarize onboarding flows, product positioning, feature sets, and pricing models • Build structured competitor profiles using screenshots, annotated flows, and data comparisons • Maintain a living Notion or Airtable-based database of competitors and trends • Identify gaps in the market and opportunities for strategic differentiation • Contribute findings to product decision meetings, roadmap discussions, and investor decks What You Bring • Curiosity about fintech, product strategy, and how companies compete • Strong research, documentation, and synthesis skills • Attention to detail and comfort organizing flows, screenshots, and market info • Familiarity with Google Slides, Notion, Figma, Loom, or Airtable • A self-directed approach with solid communication and initiative Areas of Study That May Align • Business / Marketing / Entrepreneurship • Product Management or Strategy • Finance / Economics with an interest in technology • UX Research (if focused on product benchmarking or competitor teardown) • Market Research or Competitive Intelligence Bonus Experience • You’ve done a teardown or side-by-side comparison of similar products • Knowledge of major players like Betterment, Titan, Robinhood, Public, Wealthfront, etc. • Awareness of trends in product-led growth, mobile-first fintech, or investor UX • Experience with simple research slides, Loom videos, or walkthrough-style briefings What You’ll Gain • Real-world experience informing product and GTM strategy • Portfolio-ready research materials (slides, teardowns, frameworks) • Close interaction with the founding team and visibility into roadmap shaping • A clearer understanding of fintech categories, competitor dynamics, and differentiation > This is an unpaid internship opportunity open to U.S.-based candidates only.
