This role requires a comprehensive understanding of assigned service contracts, applicable RR Policies, Procedures, Work Rules, Collective Bargaining Agreements, and RR Safety policies and regulations. Driving and on-site presence during normal business hours are essential functions of this position. The Assistant Team Manager serves as a key liaison between staff, customers, and management, ensuring operational excellence, staff development, and customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Support • Provide direct support, guidance, and training to Janitorial Supervisors to ensure consistent service quality and adherence to company standards. • Assist Project Managers and other operational leaders as needed to support organizational objectives. • Serve as a resource for staff regarding operational procedures, company policies, and compliance requirements. • Communication • Maintain viable communications with customers, management and staff support functions • Respond to customer complaints and concerns • Maintain customer contact and relations • Resolve work site conflicts • Supervision • Supervise and manage special work groups as assigned, ensuring adherence to operational goals and standards. • Attend and actively participate in scheduled meetings, providing updates on operations and staffing. • Conduct regular staff meetings (weekly/monthly) to communicate expectations, provide feedback, and foster team engagement. • Contracts • Develop a comprehensive understanding of all assigned service contracts, including specific deliverables, performance metrics, and compliance requirements. • Ensure that all operations align with contract expectations and company standards. • Logistics • Manage resources effectively within the allocated budget. • Develop, implement, and monitor work schedules to ensure appropriate staffing coverage. • Maintain adequate supply levels at all assigned work sites, ordering materials as needed to avoid service disruption. • Manage the inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring proper storage, use, and maintenance. • Quality Assurance • Conduct routine site inspections to ensure service quality, safety, and contract compliance. • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed to meet performance standards. • Administration • Complete all required reports, documentation, and administrative tasks accurately and on time. • Maintain accurate records related to staffing, operations, and site activities. • Compliance • Ensure staffing aligns with the 75% JWOD requirements and maintain appropriate staffing levels across all sites. • Adhere to all company, legal, and contractual policies, procedures, and safety regulations. • Monitor compliance with labor agreements, safety standards, and operational guidelines. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Five years' experience in the janitorial field • Minimum of 2 years in supervision/project management roles. • Prior management experience in janitorial contracts, supervision and training. • Knowledge of all phases of janitorial and floor care processes. • Experience ordering supplies and performing payroll duties. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Fluency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel and Outlook. • Valid driver's license and reliable automobile, safe driving record and insurance coverage acceptable to RR's insurance carrier. • Ability to pass drug screening and criminal history background check and/or fingerprinting as appropriate at any time during employment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, Facilities Management, or related field. • Experience managing multiple janitorial contracts across diverse client sites. • Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices in custodial services. • Demonstrated experience supporting employees with disabilities. • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
