A Brief Overview Serves as the analyst for the Derivative Settlement Group. This entails daily routine processing tasks including validation of new trades, settlement of collateral, and settlement of derivative payments. The team member is expected to be an independent thinker who manages their own projects and assists other teammates in their projects. What You Will Do • Daily collateral management • Trade capture of all derivative trades • Security master set up and maintenance for all derivative trades; Derivative Reporting • Confirmation Management • Reconciliations with dealers and accounting system • Interest payment processing on all internal positions; Interest payment monitoring on all external positions • Monitoring of Reasonableness of Derivative Valuations and Implementation of Valuation New Pricing and Risk Models; Providing standard risk reporting to internal managers • Weekly and Monthly internal collateral reporting and process improvement implementation • Market Data Maintenance; Provide suggestions for and implementation of system improvements • Regulatory Reporting (incl. Dodd-Frank) Compliance Management; ISDA and FCM legal document management and support of changes due to regulatory updates Qualifications Education and Experience Required • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Business, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Math, Science, or equivalent working experience • 5+ years related work experience dealing with securities operations processes AND 3+ years of global derivative processing OR • Internship at a Financial Services Firm dealing with derivative activities AND 4+ years related work experience dealing with securities operations processes INCLUDING 3+ years of global derivative processing OR • RGA Internship AND 3+ years of global derivative processing Preferred • 5+ years related work experience related industry experience dealing with securities operations processes Required Skills and Abilities • Demonstrated ability to deal with complex issues and solve problems both within teams and independently • Good communication skills (both written and verbal); Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department projects • Ability to be flexible when needed, take initiative, and demonstrate accountability; Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions • Ability to set goals, multitask and prioritize workload; Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/ objectives. • Ability to work independently • Knowledge of derivative processing • Knowledge of ISDA documentation • Word and Excel abilities Preferred • Advanced Banking or Brokerage industry knowledge; Reinsurance or insurance industry knowledge • Understanding of Relational Databases • Base Knowledge of Derivative Pricing (discounted cashflows) • System Knowledge of Derivative Trade Capture System • Chartered Financial Analyst (Passed Level 2 or better) What You Can Expect From RGA • Gain valuable knowledge from and experience with diverse, caring colleagues around the world. • Enjoy a respectful, welcoming environment that fosters individuality and encourages pioneering thought. • Join the bright and creative minds of RGA, and experience vast, endless career potential. Compensation Range $107,060.00 - $159,390.00 Annual Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
