Overview: We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a DSP you will be working directly with adults with mental health issues with a focus on improving their wellbeing and helping them achieve their goals. This work is best suited for people interested or students of social work/mental health counseling who are interested in gaining experience working with those struggling with mental illness. This is a part time job and hours and location vary based on the caseload that will be available for you. Duties: The duties will vary based on the individual you will be working with and can include things like: - Teaching them social skills, life skills, and spending quality time with them in their homes and the community. - Accompanying them to the park, grocery, or other outlets. - Helping them learn basic skills such as cooking, shopping, and financial planning. - Collaborating on achieving their career goals by helping them apply for a job, prepare for an interview, or help them get a GED.
