We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join one of our teams within the Infrastructure org. The Infrastructure organization supports the tooling and services at the foundation of Coinbase’s mission to increase economic freedom. This team enables Coinbase engineers to design, develop, and deploy software quickly, safely, securely and reliably. The Infrastructure org is a part of the Platform Product Group. The Platform Product Group’s mission is to build a trusted, scalable, and compliant platform to maximize velocity, efficiency and quality. They build the foundations that can be used by mulitple products and teams at Coinbase so that users can have a consistent and high-quality experience. What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties): Design and implement foundational infrastructure components used by every engineering team in production (e.g. dynamic configuration, secrets storage, container orchestration, etc) Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers. Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling our infrastructure. Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise Work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter. What we look for in you (ie. job requirements): You have at least 8+ years of software engineering experience You have designed, built, scaled and maintained production services. You have built systems on public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP or Azure You write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers. Nice to haves: You have gone through a rapid growth in your company (from 10 to 100s of engineers) You have experience with Blockchains (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum etc.) You’ve built financial, high reliability or security systems Job #: GPIN06NA
