The Benefits & HR Operations Specialist plays an essential role in supporting our Team Members by delivering high-quality benefits administration, compliance support, and HR services that uphold our commitment to an exceptional employee experience. This role helps ensure that our people feel supported, informed, and cared for throughout every stage of their employment journey. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Team Member Support & Case Management Respond promptly and warmly to Team Member inquiries regarding benefits, policies, and general HR Advisor–level questions through ServiceNow and email. Support benefits enrollment changes related to qualifying life events. Conduct timely I-9 follow-up and minor employment reporting to ensure full compliance. Monitor, categorize, and route Glassdoor reviews to enhance the Team Member and candidate experience. Benefits Administration Process Medical Support Orders, interpret court documentation, and complete required responses using Workday data and Red Robin benefit plan knowledge. Respond to state agency inquiries including garnishments, unemployment, medical support, and state leave programs. Manage the monthly arrears process to collect delinquent benefit payments. Review and coordinate authorization for benefit-related invoices. Assist with Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) administration. Prepare benefit-eligible packets for new hires and newly eligible Team Members. Support Open Enrollment planning, communications, vendor coordination, and testing. Leave of Absence (LOA) Support LOA administration and maintain accurate documentation. Generate and distribute internal LOA reports using UNUM data for field leaders and payroll partners. Compliance, Reporting & HR Operations Complete HR and benefits compliance reporting to meet federal, state, and company requirements. Manage completion reporting such as Team Member Handbook acknowledgments. Assist with Managing Right administration by supporting documentation and system accuracy. Support unemployment claim processing. Maintain accurate HR data across Workday and supporting systems. Talent Operations & Relocation Support Support talent dashboards through accurate data maintenance and reporting. Assist with relocation coordination and communication. Service & Recognition Programs Process and submit monthly Service Award files to vendors. Partner with cross-functional teams on Total Rewards projects and HR initiatives that improve the Team Member experience.
