Previous food service experience preferred, knowledge of cooking techniques, ability to follow recipes, strong organizational and time management skills, and teamwork ability.
Responsibilities: - Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices - Assist in cooking and preparing meals according to recipes or instructions - Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation - Assist in menu planning and recipe development - Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify supervisor when items need to be restocked - Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas Requirements: - Previous experience in a food service or culinary role is preferred - Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and cooking methods - Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Excellent time management skills to ensure meals are prepared on time - Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures - Ability to work well as part of a team Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
