Consumer Insights / Marketing Research Manager Role Red Lantern Strategy, a custom marketing research and strategy firm, is looking for a bright and curious experienced consumer insights professional to join our tight-knit team of researchers. You will serve as a generalist researcher working with project teams across all aspects of custom research execution, from strategic study design to crafting stories with actionable insights for clients. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A DATA ANALYTICS OR FINANCIAL ANALYST ROLE. Red Lantern Strategy: About us Red Lantern is a research and strategy firm providing clients across industries and disciplines with strategic direction for growth. Industry categories include financial services and technology (B2B and B2C), media and entertainment, beauty, fashion, and retail. We pride ourselves on approaching our work with integrity and honesty We are a woman-owned company of ~10 people that is currently operating 100% remotely and looking to strategically grow. Our mission for our company and ourselves is to: • Conduct rewarding and challenging work to help passionate businesses and brands strategize growth • Help propel professional development and career success for RLS team members and our client partners • Balance efficiency and profitability with work and life balance • Innovate on approaches to research and strategy to better serve our clients, our research participants, and our team All candidates must meet the following qualifications: • Have 3-5 years of hands on Market Research experience • Have B.A. or graduate-level degree • Be a US Citizen and live in the Northeast US with the ability to occasionally commute to NYC for team and client meetings • Be an experienced moderator of focus groups and IDIs (online and/or in-person) [Note: candidates will be required to submit a moderating reel/sample] • Have expertise in working with qualitative and quantitative data • Think big picture/strategically and be detail oriented – can track complex client needs, project objectives, and to-dos across multiple projects simultaneously • Have a passion for data and for problem solving – enjoys the process of starting with data, identifying themes, and boiling up to a clear story that addresses client needs • Be adept at identifying qualitative themes and insights • Be skilled at manipulating quantitative data in Excel to assist in the identification of trends, and be “good with numbers” • Enjoy working in teams via a collaborative process • Be a polished communicator – comfortable speaking up in groups, good at expressing self verbally and in writing • Have passion/Interest in learning about business (via learning about business through diverse client needs across industries) • Be proficient in MS Excel, advanced knowledge preferred/a plus • Be proficient in MS PPT, presentation design experience (e.g., building charts and visuals in PPT) Candidates ideally have: • Experience using online discussion board platforms (including programming) • Experience with AI analysis tools • Visual design skills • Video editing and production skills Specific responsibilities will include: Serving as a key client contact on projects coordinating project management, gathering feedback on materials, and providing strategic guidance with consultation from RLS senior project leaders Proposal development and research design Project management – ensuring that research tasks are completed according to client timelines/meet deadlines Communicating/coordinating with vendors to ensure successful project delivery Research Instrument Development • Screeners • In-Depth Interview guides, focus group discussion guides, digital board discussion guides, and surveys Qualitative fieldwork • Digital qualitative programming/testing to ensure a smooth participant experience • Moderating online discussion boards and potentially in-depth interviews Analysis and report writing • Being a key thinker/contributor to the development of insights • Being a primary author and support on research reports Presenting research findings to clients Salary: $90-$110K Candidates must submit a writing sample and moderating reel/sample
