Lead sales growth and market expansion efforts targeting Tier 1 automotive suppliers, and develop and coach a high-performing sales team.
Requires 10-15 years of proven sales success in Tier 1 automotive markets, established relationships with top suppliers, and a relevant bachelor's or MBA degree, which do not align with your experience.
Specific Responsibilities: • Provide market intelligence to inform new product development. • Identify and assess new markets for company expansion. • Lead, coach, and support a small high-performing sales team. • Build and execute the plan to acquire new Tier 1 customers. • Lead all price, margin, and profitability reviews. • Maintain focus on rapid expansion across sales, marketing, and product initiative. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Revenue Generation and Market Expansion (80%) • Stay informed about industry trends, sourcing cycles, converter market needs, and competitive pressures. • Drive new business growth with Tier 1 automotive suppliers • Grow revenue within existing accounts through deeper partnerships and expanded production adoption. • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline focused on the top20 Tier 1 automotive suppliers. • Conduct rigorous price and margin analysis for profitable growth. • Lead strategic efforts to enter new automotive and adjacent markets. • Identify customer-specific needs and coordinate development of product solutions. • Develop and implement strategic sales growth plans to accommodate corporate goals to include sales pipeline. Team Leadership and Sales Operations (20%) • Lead, coach and develop sales team to consistently deliver results. • Create and implement repeatable sales processes, frameworks, and best practices. • Support team members with strategy, customer introductions, and account navigation. • Promote a culture of accountability, preparation, and proactive communication. • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and product development to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction. • Lead and inspire sales team to achieve and surpass sales targets. Foster positive and productive work culture that encourages collaboration, creativity and excellence. Key Competencies, Knowledge and Skills: • 10-15 years of proven sales success in Tier 1 automotive market and / or converter industry. • Established relationships with top 20 Tier 1 automotive suppliers. • Deep Knowledge of Automotive programs, sourcing cycles, and production requirements. • Strong negotiation and pricing capability with a focus on profitable growth. • High initiative and roll up-your-sleeves mindset. • Bachelor’s and MBA degree in Marketing and or related field
