What You Will Do • Lead a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, analytics engineers, and automation/ML engineers. • Own the end-to-end data platform: ingestion, ETL/ELT, pipelines, and monitoring across multiple sources (APIs, feeds, compliant web scraping). • Partner with analytics and business teams to deliver metrics layers, dashboards, A/B testing infrastructure, and product analytics. • Drive automation by mapping high-impact workflows (pricing, QA, customer operations, KYC, payouts) and delivering AI agents to replace manual tasks. • Define measurable service level objectives (freshness, latency, accuracy) and build robust monitoring and runbooks. • Translate business goals into a clear technical roadmap with quarterly outcomes and shipped impact. Ideal Candidate Background • 8–12+ years in data engineering/analytics, including 4+ years leading cross-functional teams or managers. • Proven experience operating large-scale data ingestion and transformation pipelines with strong SLAs. • Hands-on proficiency in Python and SQL; able to review PRs and guide schema/model design. • Strong track record building and scaling analytics engineering (metrics definition, dashboards, experimentation, exec reporting). • Practical experience deploying AI/LLM agent systems in production with measurable business outcomes. • Startup or high-growth environment experience, ideally Series A–E stage. Preferred • Background in marketplaces, fintech, e-commerce, or other transaction-heavy platforms (pricing, valuation, risk, or payments). • Experience with modern data/AI tooling such as: • Data stack: Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Airbyte/Fivetran, Great Expectations/Soda. • Analytics: Tableau, Metabase, Amplitude. • Infra: AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Datadog. • AI/Agents: OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex AI, Langchain, Pydantic AI. • Familiarity with collectibles, trading, or alternative asset marketplaces is a plus.
